Note: The free version of QuickFix does not require payment and can be used indefinitely.

Cancellation Policy

QuickFix provides grammar and spelling correction services through a Chrome browser extension. The service includes both free and premium features.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must be at least 13 years old to use QuickFix
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes
• You will not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the extension

4. Premium Subscription

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $2.90/month excluding VAT
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel at any time as described in our Cancellation Policy
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

QuickFix is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all grammar errors will be detected or that all suggestions are correct. Users should review all corrections before accepting them.

6. Limitation of Liability

QuickFix and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.

7. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

Overview

QuickFix is a Chrome extension that helps you fix grammar errors by detecting them as you type and allowing you to fix them with a simple Tab press.

Data Collection and Usage

What We Collect

• Text Content: When you type in text fields, QuickFix temporarily sends your text to our grammar checking API (LanguageTool API hosted at quickfixapi.ibrahimgabol.com) to detect grammar errors.
• Extension Settings: Your preferences (like which sites you've disabled QuickFix on, and whether Tab-to-fix is enabled) are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API.
• Premium Status: If you purchase premium features through ExtensionPay, we store your subscription status locally.

What We DON'T Collect

• No User Tracking: We do not track your browsing history or which websites you visit.
• No Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information (except through ExtensionPay for payment processing).
• No Text Storage: Text sent to our grammar API is processed in real-time and is NOT stored permanently on our servers.
• No Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics or any other tracking/analytics services.

Data Transmission

• Text is sent over HTTPS to our secure grammar checking API at quickfixapi.ibrahimgabol.com
• Text is processed and analyzed for grammar errors only
• No text is logged, stored, or used for any other purpose

Third-Party Services

LanguageTool API

We use a self-hosted instance of LanguageTool (an open-source grammar checker) at quickfixapi.ibrahimgabol.com to check grammar. Text is sent to this service for analysis but is not stored.

ExtensionPay

Premium features are managed through ExtensionPay (https://extensionpay.com/), which handles payment processing. Please refer to ExtensionPay's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment information.

Local Storage

All extension settings and preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage.local API. This data never leaves your device except for the grammar checking described above.

User Control

• You can disable QuickFix on specific websites through the extension popup
• You can completely uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all locally stored data
• You can disable the extension entirely from Chrome's extension management page

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
